Originally planned to become a care home for the local community, the project was met with opposition due to its location down an idyllic country lane. The area’s natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere were simply too precious to alter and the planning application was rejected. Today, the house serves as a beloved family home, where the owners have lived for several years, carefully considering how to make the space truly their own.

Rather than moving, the family fell in love with both the house and its serene surroundings, deciding that the best way to make it perfect for their needs was to invest in thoughtful, high-quality design. They chose Amtico LVT boards in York Oak to grace the downstairs living areas, adding warmth and elegance. The boards elegantly transition into a stunning Victorian Star pattern at the entrance, creating a welcoming focal point. To complement this, a striking Roger Oates stair runner was selected in Isis Reed to keep the neutral and timeless design, whilst still making an impact. Upstairs, the family opted for Brockway's Beachcomber carpet in Strand, which transitions into Pebble in the bedrooms and snug. This subtle change in weave was selected to accommodate the angles of the rooms, allowing the carpet to flow effortlessly throughout, while maintaining a consistent, sophisticated look across the space.
